The House in 'Skeeter SwampThe Jacksons, the family living in the house, were quite poor indeed. The father worked long hours as a mechanic at the local body shop for minimum wage. He could not afford a better job because of the fact that he was barely literate. The mother had to stay at home to care for the three children and her own mother. They had once been better off, but lost almost everything when the stock market crashed. For the past three years they had been forced to live in poverty in the small house they could barely afford. Sayonara, Saturnian DaysIn her room of the great floating city New Tokyo, Dione peered out the large glass window to view the Saturnian sunrise. It was truly a spectacular sight. Below her, large cumulonimbus clouds blanketed the air like soft butterscotch mashed potatoes. Where these clouds met the horizon was the sun, its small yellow disk creating halos of light in the air from the ice crystals in the atmosphere. Several soft, wispy cirrus clouds of condensed helium appeared just above the sun, and were lighted with a soft pink glow from beneath. The colors of the sunrise blended marvelously, from pink at the bottom to orange and yellow and blue at the top; like Sayonara, Saturnian Days

I'm FINALLY getting "The Mechanoids" published in a local magazine. I can't wait to get a copy when it's finished!
"The Mechanoids" is currently available for online reading in the Literature folder of my gallery. It will likely remain there unless I get someone well-known to publish it.
