Galatea

Galatea is a preistess of the Pantheistic Temple of Saturn, which Sam used to be a member of. But like most large organized religions, it has been corrupted and perverted to fit the ruling class's morals and political agenda. The Temple generally frowns upon robot-human love, as it sees creations of humans as love objects to humans as a form of incest. So when Sam professed her love to Galatea, you can probably guess what happened. Sam got excommuted, and now views most organized religions as being profoundly corrupt and stifling creativity and individuality. But she's still a pantheist, just not a member of the Temple.

I KNOW that pantheism is supposed to be like the opposite of an organized religion. That's what makes this so ironic: it is in my personal opinion that churches and highly organized faiths almost always corrupt the original purpose of the religion.
